Some time ago, Adobe Fresco came to iPad users as a powerful application for photographic editing. It is a premium application that includes various functions, and although it is true that there are more powerful alternatives, it is one of the most downloaded applications in terms of photography today, thanks to its arrival last year on the iPhone and iPod touch. And, in fact, the arrival of this application has made Adobe see it unnecessary to have several similar applications in the App Store.
Apparently, with the arrival of Adobe Fresco, the firm has decided to remove the Illustrator Draw and Photoshop Sketch apps for iOS and iPadOS from the Apple application store, reducing the catalog of Adobe applications available in that market, despite that it is less and less exclusive.
Illustrator Draw and Photoshop Sketch will soon disappear from the App Store
As Adobe communicates on its support website, it seems that both Photoshop Sketch and Illustrator Draw are going to be removed from the App Store for iOS and iPadOS, as well as from Google Play for users of the Android operating system. In this way, neither of the two applications will be available for download, or at least officially.
This is so because currently, as we mentioned, Adobe has an alternative that incorporates the most outstanding features of both applications: Adobe Fresco. And, although it is true that it is paid, Adobe facilitates the change to said app for users who are interested, since projects created from Illustrator or Photoshop for iOS or Android will be mitigated to Adobe Fresco when logging in with the same Adobe ID.
On the other hand, for users interested in continuing to use Photoshop Sketch or Illustrator Draw, say that Adobe has announced that it will be possible to continue using both applications after July 19, which is the date on which they will be removed from the stores. apps. In fact, until January 10, 2022, Adobe will continue to provide support for both apps, although they will not be updated with improvements or new features.
